Shortlist 2025
The jury has shortlisted 35 projects, complemented by 10 projects from the Young Talent Open. These include schools from Council of Europe member states that are not part of Creative Europe, as well as from Southeast Asia, Australia, and New Zealand. These projects are from 36 schools across 19 countries and address topics such as housing, reuse, climate emergency and resilience, resources, intergenerational fairness, youth, culture, and sport.
This selection will be part of the exhibition “Intelligens. Talent. EUmies Awards Young Talent 2025”, a Collateral Event of the Biennale Architettura 2025, which will open on May 9 at 17:00 at Palazzo Mora in Venice. On the same day, the 12 finalists of the EUmies Awards Young Talent 2025 and the 5 finalists of the Young Talent Open will be announced.
The jury aims to highlight the richness found in the diversity of approaches to architectural, landscape and urban design. This selection of projects showcases various methods of teaching and learning architecture in an academic setting, emphasizing the importance of fostering a free and unrestricted environment to maximize students’ potential. Young Talent encourages academic exchange and strives to enhance the skills of architects at the beginning of their careers while also exploring the differences and similarities in architectural education worldwide.
