The single family house is located in a 800-inhabitant village of Sevilla, in the edge of a block. The house builds a void between the existing party walls, a room that condenses all the house’s space. This void-place, protected from the outside and showered by light puts everything in place.

The Tea House in Paço das Infantas is the result of an analysis of the monument, attempting to clarify its historical significance by means of a contemporary use. The inner space of the ruins is occupied by a virtually weightless building, made innocuous by its geometry and the way it stands free from the surrounding ruins.

This design forms the extension to an office tower which was one of the first projects to be built during the reconstruction of Berlin in the 1950s. The design endeavours to combine the as found fragments of the city into a three-dimensional composition through which the existing building is able to be reintegrated into its context.
