EUmies Awards 2024 Exhibition and Lectures in Zagreb

Following on from last year’s event held at the Museum of Contemporary Art, this December the Association of Croatian Architects (Udruženje hrvatskih arhitekata) organises the “Mies in Zagreb” program for the second time, in partnership with the Fundació Mies van der Rohe in Barcelona.
The program begins on Monday, December 2, 2024 at the Croatian Museum of Natural History (Demetrova ul. 1, Zagreb) at 5:30 p.m. with the opening of the “EU Mies Awards 2024” exhibition, which provides an overview of the achievements that competed for the most prestigious European architectural award in 2024, with the winning works, emerging authors, finalists, shortlisted works, and the ten Croatian nominations, three of which are shortlisted.
The opening will be followed by lectures in which the finalists in the category of emerging architecture, Branco del Río Arquitectos (Portugal), the shortlisted authors, Floating University Berlin (Germany) and querkraft (Austria), will be presented . The exhibition will be opened by Ivan Blasi , curator of awards and programs of the Mies van der Rohe Foundation, who will also give a lecture on the Mies Pavilion in Barcelona.
The exhibition can be viewed until December 12, 2024 during the working hours of the Croatian Museum of Natural History, from Tuesday to Thursday between 10 a.m. and 6 p.m., and from Friday to Sunday between 11 a.m. and 7 p.m. Admission to the entire program is free.
