P.L.U.G.

P.L.U.G. is the implementation of an alternative and critical proposal to the solutions adopted to create city in the rural/urban areas. A model of ephemeral city, mobile and changing in time and space through activity nodes connected to areas of temporary demand.

P.L.U.G. is a prototype for the search of new urban typologies, being able to speed up the adaptation and construction and to ease the answer to the demands. An action plan is proposed to configure the territory and allow the interaction of the different agents that make up the scene. A model of an ephemeral city, mobile and changing in time and space, through activity centres net to areas of temporary demand. The system is developed in three parts: selection and analysis methodology to define the site; a typology proposal that includes multiple complementary programs; and the configuration of the base infrastructure, always waiting for the plugin cell to plug. Once the needs and demands of the site are identified, a new architectural layer is created in the territory with the establishment of a structural exoskeleton. It will work as support for the different cells that the program is made of. Clusters are located throughout the territory and they are equipped with the tools for their own progress. The condition of a previously established order allows the articulation of different programs, generating local economic exchanges; concentration of uses and social relations; and, the liberation of the land, maintaining the regeneration and environmental function of the soil. Being defined as a system, the territorial, economic and social profitability are factors corrected from the beginning. A travelled landscape that solves the obsolete linkage and dependence situation between the dispersed urban areas and the city centre.
