On 29th June 2023, Creative Europe and the Fundació Mies van der Rohe will announce the Winners of the 2023 edition of the EU Prize for Contemporary Architecture / Mies van der Rohe Awards in the Young Talent category. The projects will be revealed during the EUmies Awards Day 2023, which will include the Granting Ceremony and Debates at the Palazzo Michiel in Venice, as part of the Collateral Events of the 18th International Architecture Exhibition – La Biennale di Venezia.
Following the announcements of the Young Talent and Young Talent Open (a parallel award for schools from the African continent and members of the Council of Europe which are not part of Creative Europe), each winner will engage in a set of conversations with the jury members N’Goné Fall, Manuel Henriques, Jennifer Mack, Simone Sfriso and Snežana Vesnić, as well as representatives from the organising institutions, sponsors and supporters. The conversations will tackle the topics of ‘Cultural Heritage and memory’, ‘Cartographies and identity’, ‘New Ecologies within the City’ and ‘Exchange and roots’.
